Traceable to our inability to affect others positively is societal degradation. No society gets better than the quality of character of her citizens. Poor giving mentality and habit of the citizens of any nation is the reason for the apparent devaluation and societal lethargy.
We are in a country where many struggle to make ends meet. Many are destitute and helpless, while some are increasingly wealthy. Where you see them today is not where you will meet them tomorrow. Glory to God for their lives. This ever increasing blessings will never cease.
The best investment in life is the one made on humanity. Why do you invest in things that are not aware of your efforts? And what you see at the end of the day is the depreciation of all you have laboured on after few years. Why have you allow yourself to be possessed by properties? Why do you put all your strength on gathering what does not matter in eternity?
Are you fond of investing passionately in vanity at the expense of your eternity? You have been struggling to build the best structure in your street. Sir, ask those who did it last year, what you call the best today will obviously be the oldest tomorrow. Why chasing frivolities?
Sir, that your best and latest car last year, where is it among the latest cars of today? Then, why are you pursuing the shadows on this earth with all you have and yet giving little or no attention to things that matter?
May i remind you that you are not here to live for yourself but for others. We invest in ourselves to affect others, anything shorts of this is not correct. If you are here and your impact is not felt, your seat is empty on earth, although we still have you around, you are no more.
The day you stop affecting people around you positively is the day you start dying. In fact, you will be too deadliest than the dead. How on earth can you be alive and you are not remembered for one positive contribution to someone’s destiny? Even those that were dead are still living by the virtue of their contributions before they left.
Mr. Richman sir, do something today to safe your tomorrow. That man you helped could be your and our last hope tomorrow. Rescue a life, rescue our society, rescue our nation.
Think and let’s think
I hear someone say thank you Tosin Adegoke. I want to say thank you for thanking me, but that word is for you. To say that you don’t have anything to give and you have now agreed with yourself that you are a poor man who need support of others always and never saw the need to help others is evil. Nothing moves in if you have never allow anything to move out.
Come to think of it, if the way you wait for people to help you is the way other people in the society wait for someone to help them, who will help who? For how long will these our waiting generation wait? Why on earth do you think you have nothing to give? Strive to touch a life with that your little.
No One is Needless
Both the helped and the helpless is in need of help. Nothing flows from the helped to the helpless without a meaningful contribution from the helpless to the so called helped because no one is needless. To gain access to the treasure box of the helped, locate a need in his or her life and supply help. You will be surprised at what will come to you.
This is the secret of wealthy people. They too as gone through that process before you could be gazing at their treasure box to get something from them. Don’t be surprised that even for them to remain relevant in that realm they must not let go the secret of meeting other people’s needs. Give something out to take something in.
