The present level of societal predicaments and moral decadence could be traced to the inordinate and unworthy means of acquiring wealth. Human beings naturally enjoy taken shortcuts to attain or get to their desired destinations.
Many people go extra miles to make sure they are ahead of all their equals in all ways. Some would use dubious means to attain new height in their endeavours and ministries. Thus, the existence of evil and all manner of atrocities in the society.
Have you ever imagine a man arranging chairs and tables and other furnitures in an open space (a place without house) and calls it siting room? And when men question such person and he says “don’t worry I will join a room to it later”.
I know you would call that insanity because it ought not to be so. Am sure if that happens in Nigeria, he will get back to his so called siting room the next day and weep bitterly, because he will look for those thing and not find them again. So is the situation or condition of men who run after the treasures of this earth. They gather all yet they lack all.
CALM DOWN
Don’t be in a haste to gather all the kingdom treasures to yourself without having Christ. Doing so will make you vulnerable to satanic attacks and he will not let you go until you throw away all you have gathered through hard labours and rigorous prayers.
God’s blessings are for you. Just as your Pastor has access to them you also can access them. If the only channel through which you enjoy God’s blessings is through your Pastor you are missing a lot. The same right has been accorded to everyone who has accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.
GET GOD FOR YOURSELF
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6.
We gain access to the blessings of God through Christ Jesus. Such blessings can only be managed with the help of Christ. So don’t try to put Jesus aside in pursuit of kingdom’s treasures for your own pleasure.
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:1-2.
Any man who struggles to enjoy the treasures of the kingdom without Christ is like the man that set up gadgets in the open space without a house. The accumulated blessings will not be secured, in fact it will not last when Christ is not involved.
We have many who run around from one programme to another today, believing with that, they can escape knowing Christ and just continue to enjoy His promises and blessings. No one can outsmart God.
“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 2 Timothy 2:19.
Seek first the kingdom and all the treasures therein will be yours. This can never be vice versa. No man can house, protect and sustain the blessings of God without Christ.
