Every man will lose contact with himself if he is disconnected from the HE in him. The distractions in the world are so much that a man can cease to be living while he is still on earth.
Many who walk about have lost touch with their personalities because of so many dramas of life. The dramas of life are so much that one can sit down throughout his or her life time watching and wasting.
When I gained admission to the University, I discovered that some people just move about on campus. As a new student, I used to think that was the norm in the University. For the first one week, I would just dress up and move about on campus and return to villa in the evening without any meaningful assignment.
Before I recovered from this I had already missed three classes and had many notes to catch up with. I had assumed nothing was going on in the campus because I had seen some other people walking about. Little did I know that in spite of the fact that they were walking everywhere, they were all going somewhere. I know some of you understand what I am talking about.
Later, I discovered that it was operation mind-your-business since there are different departments and different people on campus. In fact, some people might not be students yet they dress well and walk about on campus. Sir, it is very dangerous for anyone to pattern his or her life after anybody one sees on campus.
However, that one week of wandering about cost me a lot. I became so confused, especially when one of my lecturers came to our class and began to explain Philosophy to us. I couldn’t connect at all because I had missed the introductory class. I needed to visit my course mate to explain what the lecturers taught them and also to copy the notes they had been given.
Many in the world are just like me. Some have become wanderers moving about aimlessly without any plan in mind. They get carried away by other people’s manifestations in the world and as such, they throw away their values and aspirations.
Please be aware that intimidation is part of the results of lack of connectivity with the originality in you.
“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands” 2 Timothy 1:6.
Because most people connect too much with externalities, they are disconnected from the virtues within them. Many are the wonders that lie fallow inside every man. It takes men who dare to appreciate who they are to express the wonders in them.
If you are not connected to the “you” in you, you will be distracted by the manifestations of others. Anyone that connects with the giant within him will not be distracted by other people’s manifestations; rather, through the manifestation of others, such a person will be empowered to fulfill the purpose for which they were created.
Please, lay hold on the “you” in you to avoid being distracted by the happenings in the world.
